Carbon Offset

At ecoU.com we plant trees on your behalf to withdraw carbon from the atmosphere.  The project we support has already planted 3,459 trees.  We mainly plant for people who fly but we are also happy to put trees in the ground for anyone engaged in a carbon-intensive activity or to replace consumed resources. These trees can be treated as a balance and as they grow over time will offset emissions for your flights, the annual use of a car, or a households CO2 emissions.

There’s no way of avoiding it flying, driving and the traditional methods of heating our home’s are inherently environmentally destructive and we shouldn’t use any more resources achieving these than we have to. Planting a tree, on the other hand, is an ecologically constructive thing to do. Trees use the sun’s energy to absorb CO2, taking it out of the atmosphere (where it’s really harmful) and turning it into this wonderful, renewable material.......wood. Trees encourage biodiversity and are also fantastic air purifiers.

The only problem with trees is that they take a while to grow. You have to understand, when you order a Tree to be planted from ecoU.com that this is not a quick-fix and your flight or carbon producing activity will not suddenly become ‘carbon neutral’. However, the tree we plant for you will make a significant and positive difference, over time, to our atmosphere and the environment.
