Marigold are scented herbs of the genus Tagetes, originating originally from Mexico, where they are known as caléndulas. Apart from producing a fast flowering beautiful houseplant, the petals are dibble and provide a tasty decorative addition to any salad. Expect the seeds to germinate in 14-21 days. Pocket Gardens contains specially formulated compost which has been permitted by the soil association and is peat free.
